Season Opener detailed information
We are very excited to be running our first ever state competition, the Season Opener for opens and veterans at the New South Wales Fencing Centre this Sunday, 19 March. Fencers – your early registration will help us with planning. Spectators, we hope to see you there!
As this is the first time that we are holding a competition at the Centre, to cater for any unforeseen disruptions we have decided to put back open Epee and Sabre start times as follows:
Open Men’s and Women’s Epee competition will start at 2.00 pm
Open Men’s and Women’s Sabre competition will start at 3.30pm
Depending on numbers this may mean that Epee competitions may finish around 7pm. Please pass this information on to any fencers that you know will be fencing in these competitions.
While we will be working hard on the smooth running of competitions please bear with us if there are any scheduling or operational glitches. As and when we hold more competitions we will be working on ironing out the wrinkles and improving the experience for fencers, spectators and volunteers alike.
**Food and drinks will be available for purchase from our Café Scherma inside the venue!
