Coaching development
L1 Coaching Course
NSWFA supports coach development with the Level 1 Coaching Course. The course is run in all three weapons and comprises online pre-work, and in-person training and assessment, and is usually run each year.
Before enrolling in the L1 course you will need to:
- Become a member of NSWFA.
- Complete the PBTR Child Protection and Safeguarding course. This course is free and completed online and will help coaches gain skills so they can play their part in safeguarding children in their capacity as coaches.
Successful completion of the course is one component of becoming a nationally accredited coach. If you’d like to gain your accreditation you’ll need to complete additional steps – info on the process is on the AFF website.
