ANNOUNCEMENT: UPCOMING COMPETITION CHANGES

We wish to inform you of important changes to competition rules and the NSWFA 2017 Competition Calendar:
- A temporary rule change will take effect at the upcoming Sydney Olympic Junior Cup, which has been rescheduled to 19 February. As we await the outcome of the FIE’s final decision, in the sabre event, we will implement the 3-metre guard line that has been seen throughout the world to best prepare our sabreurs who will be competing internationally.
- The following competitions, originally scheduled for 12 March, are rescheduled to take place on 19 March:
- The veterans season opener
- The season opener for all weapons
- The Novice competition, for fencers 18+ with no competition experience, has been rescheduled to 21 May 2017
