COVID-19 Rules Update

Given the latest announcement from the NSW Government, the NSW Fencing Centre COVID-19 rules will be amended as follows with immediate effect.

+ At training sessions, NSW Fencing Academy fencers, State Squad fencers  and coaches will not have to wear face masks while actively training.

+ At State competitions, fencers and referees will not have to wear face masks while participating in a bout.

When not actively training or competing, everyone should continue to wear a face mask while at the Centre.

From 25 February:

+ Check-in via QR code will not be required.

+ Capacity limits will no longer apply but everyone should try to maintain social distance whenever possible.

+ One parent (wearing a face mask) per fencing family will be permitted to watch training and competitions.

The following rules will continue to apply until further notice:

+ Proof of double vaccination (or medical exemption)
+ Sanitising hands
+ No handshakes
+ No swapping of clothing and equipment

Our Covid Marshal will continue to be on duty at competitions to check vaccination status and monitor social distancing.

COVID-19 precautions will be kept under review and amended as appropriate.

If anyone shows symptoms or tests positive to COVID-19,  they should not attend the Centre and should isolate in accordance with public health advice.

The AFFs COVID-19 safety related rules will apply to AFF Events held at the Centre. Where those rules are different to the NSWFA venue rules, they will be made clear to event participants.

Thank you for your co-operation.
