Awards for outstanding contributions to fencing
Awarded by the Board based on nominations from members. These awards recognise individuals who have made a significant contribution to fencing during the year in terms of embodying the NSW Fencing values. Please submit nominations with examples of contribution and demonstration of values to board@nswfencing.org.au by 1 November each year. NSW Fencing will promote your achievements and select a winner in each category:
- Coach of the year
- Official of the year
- Young official of the year
- Volunteer of the year
- Young volunteer of the year
Awards for outstanding clubs
Awarded by the Board based on nominations from clubs. The board particularly values club initiatives around building participation in the sport, inclusivity, and child safe environments in line with the Child Safe Standards. Please submit details of your achievements and initiatives for the year to board@nswfencing.org.au by 1 November each year. NSW Fencing will promote your achievements and select a winner in each category:
- Metro club of the year
- Regional club of the year
Awards for outstanding athletes
Awarded by the Board based on nominations from athletes. These awards recognise all-round champions, those athletes who, alongside achieving commendable competition results relative to their opportunities to compete, also demonstrate evidence of dedication to training, positive sporting spirit, fair play, and service to the sport. Please submit details of your achievements for the year to board@nswfencing.org.au by 1 November each year. NSW Fencing will promote your achievements and select a winner in each category:
- Athlete of the year
- Young athlete of the year
- Veteran athlete of the year
- Para athlete of the year
- Young para athlete of the year
Awards for extraordinary achievement
Awarded by the Board.
- NSWFA Blue Award – this award was inaugurated in 2023 to recognise the achievements of Genevieve Janse van Rensburg and Veronika Vasileva.
