Child safety and member protection
Fencing is a sport which attracts athletes of all ages, including many young athletes. NSW Fencing is committed to keeping all athletes safe from harm and abuse. We do this by:
- having a trained Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO)
- in addition to mandatory Working With Children Checks (WWCC), requiring NSW Fencing personnel and volunteers to undertake child safeguarding training
- continually working to strengthen our implementation of the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations and the NSW Child Safe Standards.

Under this framework, any all Child Safeguarding and Discrimination matters must be reported to Sport Integrity Australia (SIA) via their online form, or via the Safe Sport hotline by calling: 1800 161 361. All other matters should be reported to the AFF.
