Interstate and international competitors
NSW Fencing welcomes interstate and international fencers!
NSW Fencing warmly welcomes interstate and international athletes to compete and grow within our developing sporting community. As an organisation committed to progress, we are continuously enhancing our facilities, coaching expertise, and competitive opportunities to support athletes at all levels. By welcoming interstate and international talent whenever possible, we foster cross-cultural exchange, raise the standard of competition, and provide local athletes with valuable exposure to diverse techniques and experiences. Our dedication goes beyond performance—we embrace the values of inclusivity, respect, and collaboration. Whether preparing for major tournaments or seeking a supportive environment to refine their skills, interstate and international athletes will find a welcoming and evolving home in our state’s sporting landscape.
Interstate athletes: Fencers who are members of their Australian state association (in a membership category which enables them to compete interstate and nationally) are eligible to fence in NSW Fencing events. The process for this is:
- Please make an account online (click Log in, top right of the browser window), then email info@nswfencing.org.au to let us know you have done this. NB for U18 fencers, the email provided in the account must be the email of the parent/caregiver.
- After verifying your membership with your state association, we will give you access to enter tournaments.
International athletes: International fencers need to become members of NSW Fencing in order to compete. The process for this is:
- Please make an account online (click Log in, top right of the browser window), then email info@nswfencing.org.au to let us know you have done this.
- We will then give you access to purchase a temporary membership which includes entry to one event, and email you with instructions on how to sign up.
All athletes: Please note the NSW Fencing equipment standards for tournaments, which may differ from your state or country.
