This is a ranked state tournament (as per NSW Fencing Ranking policy), and is suitable for fencers who have some tournament experience, or are ready for a higher level of competition than they've experienced at club/school/novice/B grade level.
This tournament is the qualifying event for the 2025 Australian Intermediate Schools Championships, so you must compete in it in order to be eligible to enter the national event.
Schools with a fencing program enter the teams in the tournament. However if you are a team of fencers from a school without a fencing program, or whose school allows you to enter directly, you can enter your team using the 'Get tickets' button on this page. If you're a team of fencers from multiple schools, you can enter as an independent team, also using the 'Get tickets' button on this page.
Please note, each team comprises three fencers, or four fencers, including one reserve and there is a limit of three teams per school, and three independent teams, for each category in the tournament. For direct entry, the first three teams to enter in each category will have entry to the tournament, any additional teams entering will not be eligible to enter and will be refunded.
Please note also, school teams who enter via direct entry (ie not via their school) will need to ensure all members present their student card to DT to verify that they are a student at the school the team is representing.
