The assessment will be conducted by Maestro Angelo Santangelo.
Candidates for the assessment must have previoulsy undertaken the relevant online learning coach development modules (listed below).
Successful candidates will be awarded a Level 1 coaching technical qualification, which is recognised by the AFF.
Candidates should bring their fencing gear (and for those competing at AFC#4, weapons check opens at 5 pm).
NOTE: This practical assessment is limited to 16 attendees.

Once you have succesfuly completed the practical assessment and taken out a NSWFA 2026 Coach membership, NSWFA will upload your technical qualification to your JustFence account. Provided you have also uploaded all other documents required by AFF you will then be listed on the AFF website as an accredited Level 1 Sabre coach.
