Come and enjoy a state tournament! This is a ranked state tournament (as per NSW Fencing Ranking policy), and is suitable for fencers who have some tournament experience, or are ready for a higher level of competition than they've experienced at club/school/novice/B grade level. NB, to access tickets you need to be logged in. For fencers aged under 18, the adult contact on the account needs to be logged in to access tickets. If you have any issues please email info@nswfencing.org.au for help well in advance of the close of entries. General tournament information Introduction to competing Categories and pathways Interstate and international competitors Eligibility for this tournament: Competitors must be aged 13 years and over on the date of the tournament. Veterans events: competitors must be turning 40 years or over in 2025. Please bring photo ID for age verification at DT. No refunds will be given for fencers incorrectly entered. NSW Fencing State membership is required to enter this tournament.  Correct equipment is essential for safety. Please note the equipment standards. Equipment will be checked for compliance by the referees at this tournament. Fencers without compliant equipment will not be permitted to fence and no refund will be given. Regular entries close 11.59pm AEST, Friday 08 August 2025. Late entries will be available until 7.00pm AEST the night before, at twice the regular ticket price. After the close of entries, the final schedule will be posted on Fencing Time Live and linked here. Please note: the schedule will be created after close of entries. Please enter all of the events you want to compete in. We will endeavour to accommodate competition in both the Senior and Veterans events. A collaborative forum to share lived experiences and guide action on gender equity in sport. Join us for an informal online lunchtime forum for female and non-binary athletes, their parents/caregivers, and coaches, hosted by Britt Hilton (she/her), NSW Fencing's new Development and Inclusion Officer. Britt is responsible for developing, implementing, and promoting programs across all levels that encourage women, girls, and gender-diverse people to take up and stay involved in fencing. She’s eager to hear your experiences, insights, and ideas to help shape future initiatives that support and grow participation and opportunities. Your voice matters in building a sporting environment where everyone can thrive, and we’d love you to be part of this important conversation to: share your experiences to help shape inclusive sport programs connect directly with the Development and Inclusion Officer collaborate with others who care about equity in sport help identify priorities to better support female and non-binary athletes help identify what resources are needed contribute to a safe, supportive environment for all participants be part of the change that drives long-term gender equity in sport. Come and enjoy a state tournament! This is a ranked state tournament (as per NSW Fencing Ranking policy), and is suitable for fencers who have some tournament experience, or are ready for a higher level of competition than they've experienced at club/school/novice/B grade level. This tournament is the qualifying event for the 2025 Australian Intermediate Schools Championships, so you must compete in it in order to be eligible to enter the national event. Schools with a fencing program enter the teams in the tournament. However if you are a team of fencers from a school without a fencing program, or whose school allows you to enter directly, you can enter your team using the 'Get tickets' button on this page. If you're a team of fencers from multiple schools, you can enter as an independent team, also using the 'Get tickets' button on this page.  Please note, each team comprises three fencers, or four fencers, including one reserve and there is a limit of three teams per school, and three independent teams, for each category in the tournament. For direct entry, the first three teams to enter in each category will have entry to the tournament, any additional teams entering will not be eligible to enter and will be refunded. Please note also, school teams who enter via direct entry (ie not via their school) will need to ensure all members present their student card to DT to verify that they are a student at the school the team is representing.
